Bio: Michael Stanley has been working in pastels for thirty years as a hobby and has recently decided to pursue his talent in the medium as a career. His love for pastels lies in the enjoyment of transforming onto paper the rich colors and unique shading of his subject matter. Michael specializes in botanicals, birds and animals. For the past twenty years, Michael has worked as an architect and landscape architect for the federal government and has lived in Atlanta, Miami and Washington, D.C. Michael attended undergraduate school at University of Detroit where he received a Bachelor of Architecture and graduate school at Louisiana State University where he received a Master in Landscape Architecture. He is a member of the Southeastern Pastel Society and the Atlanta Artist Center. Michael has decided to make Atlanta his permanent home.
